Botox® Cosmetic is used as a highly effective,
non-surgical procedure to dramatically improve the dynamic lines and
wrinkles of the face. Frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles
are common treatment areas and it is often used in facial sculpting
for brow lifts.
Botox® acts by temporarily blocking nerve impulses that
normally stimulate muscles. Tiny amounts of Botox®
cosmetic are
injected directly into the muscles that cause these lines and
wrinkles. Within two to three days the muscles begin to relax and the
lines begin to fade away, but the full effect is usually seen about
two to three weeks after the treatment. There is no downtime, no
incision, and no scarring involved.
